Nottingham City Womens Lacrosse Club
Nottingham City Women's Lacrosse Club was founded over 20 years ago and although in recent years the club has mainly been populated with the more mature lacrosse player (!) this year the club is being revived, bringing in some fresh legs and new experience! We have managed to secure ourselves funding through Sportivate with the aim of encouraging all women from 15+ years to get involved with the game. The club is determined to produce an enthusiastic, talented team who work hard and play harder with the aim to play in the Club and Colleges League next season.
Most of us are more mature (!) and have played the game for a number of years since we were introduced to it at school or university. However we do also have some ladies who have taken the game up since they moved to Nottingham and joined our club. We are more than happy to provide training to anyone who would like to try the game and have spare sticks you can borrow whilst you get started.
We have an experienced coach who will lead all training sessions every Monday night at Nottingham University Campus from 7 - 8pm. Training starts in mid-October until Easter, with a break in the Christmas holidays.
All abilities are welcome and if you are new to the sport you are welcome to come and 'try before you buy' and we have spare sticks you can borrow whilst you get started.
Lacrosse is a brilliant and unique sport that is a great way to keep fit, have fun and socialise. We are really looking forward to what hopes to be a successful season and we would love you to be a part of it!
